Inger Hansen

singer - songwriter - guitarist

I am a singer, songwriter and guitarist from northern Germany. In 2003, I moved to Rotterdam to study music at the Dutch university for the arts, Codarts and received my masters degree in 2009. During my years in the Netherlands I performed with a variety of musicians, including but not limited to, the riff-rock band Cropduster", the Dutch folk duo the almosts, and a live appearance with David Bowie's pianist, Mike Garson.

In early 2008, I released my self-produced debut album For the Love of Sound, which combines both mellow acoustic and up-tempo guitar pop.

I also collaborate with different artists in various genres. My first collaboration with DJ and producer
DJ Shah on Don't Wake Me Up resulted in a chart entry in the dutch
music charts in 2008.
DJ Shah and me just finished our fifth song together soon to be released on Armada Music.

I moved to New York in the summer of 2008. I am currently the lead guitarist for the soul-rock band Bazaar Royale, and I am writing with LA artist 80 Bug.
I do gigs and projects on a regular basis. I recently played guitar for
Atlantic Records artist "Bayje" on her promo-tour.
In addition to having appeared in various venues across the country as a solo artist, I recently performed with
Bazaar Royale at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

Besides writing for others and producing music and scores, I feel that my true voice and passion is that of a songwriter and solo artist.
I love to be on stage and perform my songs. For my next record I am eager to team up with a producer to help me achieve the sound I hear in my head, and turn my vision into music.
